Thank you for visiting our website.
Melbourn Village College is an academy of The Cam Academy Trust, serving South Cambridgeshire, opening on 1959 and joining the Cam Academy Trust in 2013. We have over 600 students on roll aged 11–16. We strongly believe in the power of partnerships working together with the Cam Academy Trust, as we strive for excellence. Our core values of being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible underpin everything we do. We are committed to giving all our students an education that goes beyond the academic, enabling them to develop the skills and attributes they need to be successful in tomorrow’s global society. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, visitors and volunteers to share this commitment.
We strive to be a welcoming and inclusive school for our pupils and also to fulfil our Village College ethos in serving the whole community: we support an active adult education programme with local groups and organisations making use of the school’s fantastic facilities, out of hours.
Our curriculum is carefully crafted for our pupils, to ensure we offer an exciting and broad curriculum, underpinned by core knowledge and skills over a five-year journey. We inspire and support every pupil to reach their full potential and it is our ambition that pupils leave us with the character and currency to successfully transition to their desired next steps. By fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual respect, we equip pupils with the emotional intelligence and resilience to thrive as global citizens. We strive to be a welcoming and inclusive school so that all children can thrive because they feel a sense of belonging to our vibrant school community.
