Year 10 Poland Trip

Our year 10 students had a fantastic time on their Poland trip last week.  They set off from MVC in the early hours of the morning. The flight was delayed but finally they landed in Poland. Everybody checked in to the hotel in Krakow, unpacked and were ready for some exploring!  The trip included an all day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenhau, a tour around the Pharmacy under the Eagle and a visit to the Jewish Quarter and Jewish Museum. Students enjoyed exploring the Wieliczka Salt Mines, walking 7km and going down 130m below the ground to see how salt has been mined there over the past 600 years. They finished their trip with a visit to central Krakow and to see the 13th century central square. An amazing time was had by all!
