At The Cabin, part of The Cam Academy Trust, we strive to be a centre of excellence for the education of autistic students across our schools, including Melbourn. Our goal is to provide outstanding facilities that foster independence and life skills while facilitating integration into mainstream education. We are dedicated to offering the necessary support to help students cope and thrive in their learning environment.
We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to learn in a safe and nurturing environment, free from anxiety. Our space is designed to be both stimulating and challenging, allowing students to engage with their interests and reach their academic and social potential. We aim to create a sense of belonging and well-being, empowering our students to grow into adulthood with the same expectations as their peers and equipping them to face the challenges of 21st-century life. To achieve this, we offer support in mainstream lessons, small groups, or on an individual basis tailored to each student’s needs.
Our mission is to provide a broad and balanced education that enables students to fully develop their academic and social potential. We are committed to meeting individual needs, ensuring each student has the confidence and skills to realise their ambitions.
