Melbourn Village College’s Governing Board is committed to working with parents, students, staff, local employers, primary schools and higher and further educational institutions to provide exceptional education for all young people. We believe that the principles of the village colleges established by Henry Morris are just as relevant today as when they were introduced in the 1930s - Melbourn Village College must be at the heart of the community.
The majority of governors live locally and many have or have had children at the school. Other governors have been appointed because of their expertise, for example in the teaching of Chinese or to forge links with the University of Cambridge or because of their financial, marketing or educational business expertise.
All governors are committed to the school providing a curriculum that meets the needs of all young people whatever their ability, and to provide extra-curricular activities that challenge and inspire. We truly believe that Everybody is Somebody.
